Why Does My State of Energy Matter?
The idea and study of energetics is based on the belief that everything in the universe is made up of energy, and that this energy can be harnessed and directed in a way that promotes overall wellbeing. We don't always realize how much our connected energy - our physical, mental and emotional states of energy effects our lives. Once you become aware that you have the power to change your own energy, your whole world opens up. It is fair to say that our positive emotions and feelings associated with positive thinking may produce chemical changes in the body that could impact health and well-being.
How you can work with your own energy for your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing:
Increased awareness: Studying your own energy can help you become more aware of it and the energy of those around you. This awareness can help you identify and address any imbalances or blockages that may be impacting your wellbeing. You can become more aware of your responsibility in your life to refuse to engage in negative environments, situations and even people to protect and cultivate a positive energetic state of being for yourself. Things like listening to your gut when it tells you not to go engage in something that does not align with what you want to bring into your life. Leave the drama behind.
Improved physical health: Pay attention to your body's physical sensations and needs, such as hunger, thirst, fatigue, and discomfort. If you suddenly get a headache, don't ignore it but try to figure out why. If you don't, it will effect your energy and make you fatigued and cranky and take longer to regain the energy you have lost in the meantime. Make an effort to get enough sleep, eat a healthy diet, and engage in regular physical activity. Being aware of your physical energy can also help you identify physical imbalances and make lifestyle changes to address them. For example, you could learn about the benefits of certain foods or exercises that can help boost your energy levels and improve your overall physical health.
Improved mental health: Take time to reflect on your thoughts and emotions. Identify any negative patterns of thinking and work to reframe them in a more positive light. This doesn't mean that you won't have bad days or thoughts, but being aware of that energy can help you decide to change it and not expend your energy on something that won't solve the issue you are faced with. Consider practicing mindfulness meditation or journaling to help bring greater clarity and focus to your thoughts. This will lead to improved mental well-being to help you become more attuned to your thoughts. You could learn techniques such as setting and using daily affirmations, as well as visualization to cultivate a more positive outlook.
Improved emotional health: Pay attention to your emotional state and identify any negative emotions that may be holding you back. Our memories can keep us locked in a negative emotional/energetic state and it is important to find practical ways to move those memories along and release the negative hold they may have on you. Practice self-care and make an effort to connect with others in a positive way. You could work with therapists, Reiki practitioners and other energy healers to release past hurts and allow for new, improved relationships to come in. Working with mindfulness techniques and journaling can help you to become more inline with your emotions and help you release negative energy to cultivate more useful states of energy and emotional well-being.
Improved Spiritual health: Explore your values and what brings you a sense of meaning and purpose. Create a list of what matters to you and what you no longer hold space for. Consider practices such as meditation, chanting, crystal healing or connecting with nature to nourish your spiritual side and find a greater sense of purpose which can bring a greater sense of fulfillment and overall wellbeing.
Remember that it's important to be gentle with yourself and not to try to change everything at once. Make small, incremental changes and be patient with yourself as you work to improve your overall wellbeing. The end goal is to achieve a state of energy that provides balance, centering and grounding so that you can attract positive abundance in all areas of your life and choose to not engage with anything else.
